The world doesn't make sense, so why should I paint pictures that do?
I don’t want life to imitate art. I want life to be art.
Everyone is born creative; everyone is given a box of crayons in kindergarten. A little talent is a nice thing to have if you want to be a writer, but the only real requirement is the ability to remember the story of every scar. Art consists of the persistence of memory.
Collect books, even if you don't plan on reading them right away. Nothing is more important than an unread library.
